I keep getting questions from friends as to why I don't go into food photography, especially when they look through my food gallery.ππ And I always have the same reply; as much as I love to make foods look as good as they taste, I don't think it's an area I wanna channel my energy into, maybe not just yet.☺
----------------------------------
Growing up, my mom made valuable efforts to make sure I eat well. As a little girl, my lunch pack would be packed full of interesting meals that ordinarily should attract a child and wouldn't even think twice before devouring them. But do you know what I rewarded those efforts with? I bring them back home without even touching them, or in some cases share them with friends so she doesn't scold me for not eating π Looking back now, I can see I did a hell of a job encouraging herπ but that didn't deter her from doing them.. Moms will always remain momsπ.
----------------------------------
Now however, although I really don't eat much, I always make effort to make them look good. Thanks to @matsecooks (a reputable IG blogger) for those unsolicited inspirations.π You would be challenged and motivated just looking through her page. Just make sure you don't look through at night, else you just might eat in the dreamπ€£π€£π€£
----------------------------------
Now the motivation comes effortlessly so long am in the mood. And when it comes to food, I have only one motto which is, "my mood determines my food."π€·π»♀ You really don't wanna see what I eat when am not in the mood to cook.ππ

This has been one of the many things that intrigue me. The enthusiasm a child exhibits is beyond the ordinary. The child is so excited that he/she refuses to sit still, but rather continues to bask in the euphoria of the moment. The parents not wanting to cut the child's joy short will notwithstanding have to keep a close eye on the child. The steps may be wobbly at first, but it becomes perfected gradually as they become more firm and sure. A child is never discouraged at such moments because the joy of even getting up to walk supersedes the anxiety of falling down severally or the duration of perfection.
This is no different than what we all face in our day to day lives. The anxiety of making a mistake or the fear of repeating those mistakes, may always supersede, if care isn't taken, the joy of even trying out new things or the excitement of a new position. This really shouldn't be. Like the baby, we should be glad about the new phase. Remember, there is always a first time. And like the ancient aphorism goes; 'experience is the best teacher', which means you learn on the job. You can't remain the way you were a year ago. You would have learnt new tactics and easier ways to go about it.
Just like the baby, never let the anxiety of the unknown discourage you from enjoying the achievement of the moment. Take those steps one at a time, and before you know it, you would have gone farther than you ever imagined. Feel free to share your thoughts. Lemme know what you think about the baby steps and how it relates to our individual lives.
Be back soon!!!ππ
